“I’ve just discovered Chris Browne’s new blog. It’s crammed with good stuff—stories of his life, terrific paintings of commonplace objects and new cartoons. It shows other sides of Chris than his Hagar the Horrible work.”—senior editor, Sarasota Magazine, Robert Plunket.

Life is Not the Jug
"Life is not the jug. Life is the stuff that leaks from the jug ever day. We go about our business, work our jobs, feed our families, fight our battles and we forget about the jug. And then we see it, off in a corner, leaking. And we think, damn, I have to fix that jug one of these days. I'll get to it. But we don't. Hey, we're busy!
And then one day we look down and the jug is at our feet, right at our feet. We almost trip over it. And we say, hey! What gives? The jug's not leaking anymore. So we go to pick it up. And it's light."
