“I’ve just discovered Chris Browne’s new blog. It’s crammed with good stuff—stories of his life, terrific paintings of commonplace objects and new cartoons. It shows other sides of Chris than his Hagar the Horrible work.”—senior editor, Sarasota Magazine, Robert Plunket.
My latest cookie painting is of the wonderful chocolate chip cookie from the magical Queen City Bakery on North Weber Avenue. Just the thing to have in when the snow blows and the hot cocoa flows!

Chris,
When I was at the grocery yesterday looking for the "Famous Chocolate Wafers" by Nabisco (to make a marble cheesecake Christmas present!) I saw a sign on the cookie shelf that made me oh-so-sad. It read that the "Archway cookie company has ceased business." (!) I immediately thought of you and your windmill cookie passion. Time to do a memorial painting, don'tcha think?
Merry Christmas to you and your extended family. (That Elf Yerself card was positively frightening, btw!) haha...
I love how you feel free and motivated to paint common objects like cookies and tic-tac boxes etc... I am always inhibited thinking about other's reactions to what I draw or paint. I know this slows down my growth as an artist.
