“I’ve just discovered Chris Browne’s new blog. It’s crammed with good stuff—stories of his life, terrific paintings of commonplace objects and new cartoons. It shows other sides of Chris than his Hagar the Horrible work.”—senior editor, Sarasota Magazine, Robert Plunket.

The Baker's Daughter
This is a small element from a larger graphic story work-in-progress.
Hi Chris - I've looked at the Baker's Daughter pic a few times over the past few days; today, where I am (just west of Toronto, Ontario, Canada) it's finally a sunny day, the sun's coming through my window at the office, and I'm suddenly craving a slice of freshly baked bread, spread with a little butter and some of grandma's homemade marmelade. Very evocative image; thanks for sharing it.
